10N/11D KERALA & KABINI TOUR

On arrival at the Cochin airport, our representative will take you to your hotel. After settling in, we proceed for a local tour of the city. Our guide/driver will take you to the Bolghatty Island, Bolghatty Palace, Chinese Fishing Nets, Fort Cochin Beach, Jewish Synagogue and other places of historical importance. Overnight stay in Cochin.

After breakfast we drive down to the beautiful Munnar and check you into a resort booked for you. Later in the day, we will take you around the tea gardens and tea museum in Munnar and then to the Eravikulam national park where you can see some wildlife and the endangered ‘Nilgiri Tahr’. Overnight stay in the resort.

Wake up in Munnar and we will take you to visit the Mattupetty Dam, Kundala Lake and Top Station, the highest point in the Anamudi Ranges. Back to the resort and stay at the resort.

On the fourth day, drive to Thekkady from Munnar after breakfast. Enroute you will enjoy the scenic countryside misty hills of spice plantations, waterfalls & green meadows. In Thekkady we check you into a hotel booked for you. Then we move post lunch for boating and spice plantation tour. Back to the hotel and overnight stay.

After breakfast at the hotel, we drive you down to Kumarakom- a serenely beautiful and scenic backwater destination. It is known as the jewel of Kerala. Kumarakom is situated on the Vembanad lake. In this small water world, you will come across plenty of traditional country crafts boats and canoes which will take you into the heart of the scenic lake. On arrival at Kumarakom, we check you into the Back water resort booked for you and later proceed for a local tour of Kumarakom. We will take you on a visit to the Kumarakom backwaters, Kumarakom bird sanctuary, House boat Jetty and other exciting places. Overnight stay at the resort.

Morning after breakfast, we will take you on a guided local tour. Referred to as the Venice of the East by travellers from across the world, this backwater country is also home to diverse animal and bird life. Visit Kuttanad also called as the rice bowl of Kerala, lush with paddy crops, is at the very heart of the backwaters. By noon we go for a house boat day cruise in Alleppey – Kumarakom backwaters. Each houseboat is of excellent construction and luxurious furnishing with exquisite flooring, hull and valavara (canopy), with a sun deck, spacious living/dining area with attached toilets. Houseboat will be manned by a crew, comprising a cook, a guide and oarsman. While aboard you can avail similar facilities offered in a star hotel. Lunch will be served inside the house boat dining hall. Evening transfer to the resort.

After breakfast drive to Calicut. On the way visit Guruvayoor, famous Hindu pilgrim centre & Elephant park. After Guruvayoor visit proceed to Calicut. This district with serene beaches, emerald green countryside, and historic sites is set with the Arabian Sea on the west and the Wayanad hills on the east. Visit Krishna Menon Museum (The Krishna Menon Museum has a section in honor of the great Indian V.K. Krishna Menon, whose personal belongings and souvenirs gifted to this world leader are exhibited here), Kallayi River, Beypore, Kappad Beach. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Morning after breakfast drive to Wayanad, one of the most celebrated districts of Kerala has been presented as an ideal location for eco-tourism in India. You will be delighted with the mesmerizing sight of hills, caves hiding some secrets of the past, lakes reflecting the surrounding lustrous forests, small streams and miniature waterfalls caressing the hills and dales. So much beauty, so much charm all around. Check in to the hotel and you are cordially led into the leisure of the hotel room. You are free for the evening or can visit Lakkidi, the Gateway of Waynad (700 Mts MSL), at the shell of Thamarassery Ghat pass, or Pookot lake-3 km south of Vythiri. The enduring fresh water lake is nested among the wooded hills. You have an overnight stay at the coziness of the hotel room with much anticipated sweet expectations of the beautiful landscape waiting in store for you

After the Breakfast, full day local sightseeing starting with a visit to the Chembra peak- at 2100 mts above mean sea level which is a paradise, having incredible scenic beauty. From Chembra hill, we get the view of Neelimala viewpoint and Vaduvanchal which is an excellent venue for trekking with lots of inspiring trails. Meenmutty falls, remarkably 2 kms jungle trek off the main Ooty road is the largest and most amazing waterfall in Wayanad district. If time permits the visit will cover Sulthan bathery, Wayanad wildlife sanctuary, Muthanga. Overnight stay at resorts with the evergreen memory and twinkling thoughts.

First day

Next morning proceed to Kabini to enjoy a truly rewarding wildlife experience. We recommend a two or three nights stay at the Kabini River Lodge. Check-in to the Kabini river lodge by 12 noon. Buffet lunch at the ‘Gol Ghar’ overlooking the Kabini River OR at the Viceroy’s Bungalow – depending on the weather. Evening Wildlife tour into the Nagarahole National Park, in the Resorts Jeeps Vans, accompanied by our experienced Drivers and Naturalists. Return to the lodge watch Video films on Wildlife at the Viceroy’s Bungalow. Buffet dinner around camp-fire at the ‘Gol Ghar’ or Viceroy’s Bungalow.

Second day

Morning tea/coffee served outside the rooms. Drive into the Park and Coracle Ride on the Kabini river accompanied by a Naturalist. The Coracle is a round native boat. View aquatic Bird-life and spot a crocodile and other wildlife on the water edge. Return to Lodge for breakfast at the ‘Gol Ghar’. After breakfast checkout from the Kabini river lodge.
