Day 01 : Cochin - Thekkady
On your arrival at Cochin airport our representative will receive you. Your Kerala backwater tour package starts with Thekkady sightseeing. From the airport we escorts you to Thekkady which is located 150 kms from Cochin airport. Check into a resort in Thekkady. After fresh up visit Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary.The main attraction in Thekkady is boating on the lake and the Mullai Periyar dam.Boating will take approximately 2 hours.Here you will be able to see a large variety of wildlife, which include elephants,monkeys,deer,wild boar etc and quite a lot of unique birds can also be spotted.Overnight stay is arranged in Thekkady.
Day 02 : Thekkady- Kumarakom
After the breakfast explore the possibilities of adventure tourism in Thekkady. Many programs including Periyar tiger trail,nature walk,bamboo rafting etc are offered by the Forest department for the tourists.After lunch you can enjoy shopping in Kumali, the plantation town closely associated with Thekkady which is an important shopping center and spice trade center in Kerala.At evening you will be transferred to Kumarakom. Day 03 : Kumarakom Backwater
After breakfast you will experience a tour around Kumarakom.First visit Kumarakom bird sanctuary where you will be lifted with the amazing view of the colorful birds and the sweet twittering that fills the air.After that check into a premium house boat and enjoy the Vembanad lake.In the houseboat you will be served with authentic Kerala food including traditional dishes.Overnight stay in the houseboat.
Day 04 : Kumarakom - Cochin
Enjoy the morning on the houseboat viewing the natural vistas and the sightseeing spots.After the breakfast check out the houseboat and you will be transfer back to Cochin airport.
