On arrival at the Cochin airport/railway station (assistance arranged on arrival) we drive you down to Athirapilly. Your Monsoon Magic package starts with Athirapilly waterfalls, a popular picnic spot where waterfall is from a height of nearly 80 feet before joining the Chalakudi River. Check in to the hotel/resort at Athirapally booked for you. After refreshing enjoy the sightseeing in Athirappilly area. Main attractions, Vazhachal waterfalls, Charpa waterfalls and main waterfalls in Athirappilly. You can see the beauty of the falls with rain & cool climate. Night stay in Athirappilly resort.
After breakfast, we drive you down to Munnar the hill station surrounded with forest, waterfalls and tea plantation. Munnar is 190 kms away from Athirappally with an altitude ranging from 1600 to 1800 meters above sea level. The way to Munnar you can see several seasonal waterfalls Cheeyapara, Valara.And wonders of nature along with cool climate. On arrival at Munnar, check into the resort booked for you and overnight stay at Munnar.
Morning after breakfast we drive you down to Periyar- wild life sanctuary. Periyar is also known as Thekkedy, which is one of Indiaโs biggest Wild life sanctuaries. It was declared as a Tiger reserve in 1978. The sanctuary offers a lovely and comfortable means to get a glimpse of animals in the wild via boat rides on the manmade Lake. On arrival at Thekkedy, check into the resort booked for you. Later we will set out for a local tour, visit Periyar lake, Periyar wild life sanctuary etc. Evening boating at Periyar lake and then overnight stay at the resort.
Morning after breakfast at the hotel/resort, we drive you down to Kumarakom- the place of rivers and backwaterswhich is also called as the jewel of Kerala. Kumarakom is situated on the Vembanad lake. In this small water world, you will come across plenty of traditional country crafts boats and canoes which will take you into the heart of the scenic lake. On arrival at Kumarakom, check into the Back water resort booked for you and later proceed for a local tour of Kumarakom. We take you on a visit to the Kumarakom backwaters, Kumarakom bird sanctuary, House boat Jetty and other exciting places. Overnight stay at the resort.
Enjoy the morning in the resort with nature walk. After the breakfast check out from the resort and proceed to Cochin city. If time permits, you can go for Cochin local sightseeing & shopping. Later transfer to the airport/railway station for your onward journey.
